“We will spend our lives beating ourselves up over our mistakes, failures, and sin but we don’t have to live that way. God never intended us to because he loves us so much.”

“And all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.” Romans 3:24 (NIV)
Too good to be true.
I don’t deserve this.
I don’t deserve God’s grace because _______________....
I carry shame and regret from past decisions.
I try to be a better mom but mess up every day.
I have mom guilt constantly.
I’m too far gone.
I’m not good enough.
Moms, you can fill in the blank with why you think you don’t deserve God’s grace but it will never be true. No matter what.
If we believe what the Bible says, the whole Bible, we must believe what God is saying here. He is saying we will never earn our salvation by works, religion, etc. and we are FREELY justified because God already paid for our sins on the cross. Phew, we can take a breath now.
The devil wants you to believe you aren’t good enough for God’s grace but it’s a lie. No one on earth is righteous or good enough. We all fall so incredibly short but that is why we need our Savior. This is so important for us to understand because if we don’t, we will spend our lives beating ourselves up over our mistakes, failures, and sin. But we don’t have to live that way. God never intended us to because He loves us so much.
Run to Him when you are exhausted from trying to work your way to heaven.
Run to Him when you think you can do it on your own.
Run to him when you have mom guilt moments.
Run to him again and again and again….every day. Because we will fall short. But, there is freedom in Christ Jesus and an eternal hope we cling to because Jesus already washed away your sins when He died on the cross. Repent, accept freely this gift and live a life where you never have to fill in the blank.
Action Step:
Listen to “Run to the Father” by Cody Carnes. Close your eyes and rest, moms. Let the Holy Spirit soften your heart so you can fully accept God’s grace in your life. He loves you so much.
