God cared for His people. After supernaturally leading them out of slavery - He desired rest for them.

I love that in Joshua it says “The Lord your God is providing you a place of rest…”

How kind is God? He not only cares for us but desires us to rest and provides a place. He knows that this life is full of striving, to-dos, nonstop sports, constant cooking, endless laundry….

He still cares for His children, and He gave us His Spirit - The Holy Spirit - to dwell within us.

He invites us to take a break and rest in Him.

Love you, mom friends!

I was listening to a sermon called “Unchanging” by The Village Church and wheww.. it spoke to my heart!

As moms, isn’t this how we feel sometimes? We want to make everything work - the sports, the college tours, the play dates, dinner… we try our hardest to pull it all together so our kids feel well taken care of…

Sometimes, when we keep going and going and going and going… we get exhausted. We pull from our own strength. Or sometimes we over book and commit. Either way… there is freedom available.

That freedom comes from being right-sized. You see, we can RELAX into the fact we are small. Why? Because our Creator, God Almighty, is big! As we seek Him, He refreshes our soul, gives us rest, and continues to guide us.

This morning, I was emotionally exhausted from all the good things and tough things life provides.

Want to know my best weapon to fight emotional exhaustion? Worship.

I prayed to God, asking Him to give me a word or verse to mediate on today. He gave me a song.. Same God by Elevation Worship.

I stood in my kitchen, praising God for being a God who is unchanging and faithful…through generations. I stood in my kitchen praying over my husband’s and boys’ hearts… warring over their souls.

So mom friend, if you have an outdated kitchen.. you’re not alone! Turn that kitchen into a place where you worship and war over your beautiful family! ♥️
