Perfect Provision

"We have to trust that He will provide."

ree

“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life—whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?”Matthew 6:25 NLT

Have you ever wanted to change something about your looks so you just did it, without stopping to think about whether it would actually add value to your life? I recently started my week off in the salon getting something I thought I wanted so very badly. I ended up hating it from the start. By the end of that week I had it undone.

I wish I could say that was the first time this has happened but no, although hopefully it will be the last.

I learned a lot that week and heard the Holy Spirit telling me “You’re fine the way you are, just be content with that.”

Sometimes we push back and try to do things our way and control outcomes, but in the end we’re always confronted with the Holy Spirit, telling us what’s really important. God knows His plan for us and knows exactly what we need. We have to trust that He will provide.

Action Steps:

  • Talk it out with God, ask Him if this is what He wants for you. He made you and He has a plan to provide for you.

  • Listen to “Here I Surrender” by Highlands Worship

  • Pray: Lord, I pray for my sisters. Be with them in their time of anxiety and worry. Let them not be fearful and let them trust that You will be their provider. In Jesus' name, Amen.
