“Just as God did for King David and Kristin, He also is doing for you - equipping you with strength for your battle.”

“For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me”. Psalm 18:39 (ESV)
King David is one of the greatest kings to ever live. He faced battles, many of which were physical battles against armies of powerful nations. With God’s provision of strength, agility, and skill, King David found success in defeating his enemies (Ps. 18:32-36). In this psalm, he is acknowledging that his strength comes from the Lord.
Our battles may look somewhat different from King David’s in that our battles are typically not against physical armed forces; however, every one of us moms experience battles.
We had the honor of having Kristin Martin, mom of four warriors, on a podcast episode to share her story as she led her kids through a battle – the battle of childhood cancer. Kristin’s battle was caring for her son, Brady, as he fought cancer while tending to her kids’ hearts during this time. We asked Kristin what got her through this battle. Without hesitation she said, “Jesus”. As you listen to Kristin’s story, you’ll find both strength and joy woven into the fabric of her battlefield – both provided by the Lord, to equip…strengthen.
At this very moment, some moms are dealing with miscarriages, watching a child fight cancer, or navigating depression and anxiety. There are many moms fighting all different battles.
Just as God did for King David and Kristin, He also is doing for you - equipping you with strength for your battle.
