Daily Battles

“Your armor is never far away. You don’t have to be the source of strength, draw on the

strength of the Lord.”

“Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the

devil.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6‬:‭11 ‭ESV‬‬

In the passage Paul says to put on the “whole armor of God”. Would you leave home

without putting on clothes? No, you wouldn’t. In the same way we shouldn’t leave home

without putting on the armor of God daily.

Why is this so hard to do?

Why do we feel the need to fight the daily battles of life all alone?

I spent years alone, battling the wars all around me. I didn’t invite anyone, let alone God, into these wars. They almost destroyed who I was, but, thankfully, the Holy Spirit pulled me from the trenches of darkness and showed me the strength I receive from God.Through my

salvation I’ve learned that the devil is always prowling, looking for an opportunity to creep

in.

That’s why we need the armor of God. Every day.

God doesn’t make things easy, but He’s given us the tools we need to fight the schemes of

the devil. Your armor is never far away. You don’t have to be the source of strength. Draw

on the strength of the Lord. You don’t have to fight your battles alone because you have the armor of God and a sisterhood of moms who have their own battles they’re fighting too.

Let’s fight. Together.

Action Step:

  •  Do you feel like you’re constantly battling a war? Where do you draw strength from?

Remember, God is your strength and He is a well that never runs dry. All you have to

do is pray and ask for that strength.

  • Read 1 Peter 5:9. Surround yourself with other moms who will join you on your walk

with God. Together, you can battle these spiritual wars.

  • Pray: God, I pray for my sisters in Christ. That You give them the strength they need to

fight the spiritual wars around them. Give them peace in knowing they are not alone

and they have an army of moms cheering them on as they win the wars. In Jesus name, Amen.
