“Our families, today, are a part of that destiny, and our mothering is part of His good works.”

“We have become his poetry, a recreated people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it!” Ephesians 2:10 TPT
Have you ever wondered, “Why was I created to be here, in 2025, in this moment of time? Why not in biblical times? Why not any other time in between?”
In our verse today, it says, “We have become his poetry”. We are His words, uniquely crafted and formed into a “body” of words so perfectly placed together. If Father God took the time to create us in such a precise factor, I would have to think even the timing of the delivery of us would need to be exact in order to serve in that purpose. Psalm 139:14-15 says “He created us so wonderfully complex, woven together in the dark of the womb” (NLT)
I know within my heart I have a purpose. Ephesians continues to say, “God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill it”. Our families, today, are a part of that destiny, and our mothering is part of His good works. What an encouragement God’s Word is for all the moments we feel like the bar has been set too high, and it seems like we keep falling short. All we need to do in those moments is turn back to Him, His Word, and remember who He says we are.
When we do this, we can stand in confidence, knowing God’s got us! And when we know that, we can show our children He’s got them, too! When they grasp this knowledge of our great God, they will walk through life with that treasure. Let’s walk this journey with our children, gaining “God-fidence” (see what I did there!) and let’s encourage one another in God!
Take a moment to…
Ponder God’s love for you and His plans for you
Print out “Who God Says I Am” or write out each “I am” on sticky notes and place around the house as a daily reminder
Read and speak out these scriptures over yourself and children/family daily, and feel Holy Spirit change your thoughts and how you feel
Prayer: Gracious Father, We thank You for creating us for such a time as this. Let each and every momma feel and know how much You love them. Build up such a godly boldness in them, they can show their children how much You are for them too! We bless You, Lord. Thank You for the Love of Your Son, Jesus. We ask it all in His Name, Amen!
