God Wants It All

“He wants to walk with you through it all. He wants you to invite Him into the good, the bad, and the messy.”

ree

“Stop imitating the ideals and opinions of the culture around you, but be inwardly transformed by the Holy Spirit through a total reformation of how you think. This will empower you to discern God‘s will, as you live a beautiful life, satisfying and perfect in his eyes.” Romans 12:2 TPT

Life can be overwhelming at times. There are days when we accomplish all we set out to do, and then there are the other days… the days that make us want to crawl back into bed and look for the reset button. The days when no matter how hard we try to do all the right things, the kids aren’t getting along, and every time we turn around there’s a mess being made. Or maybe we get tragic news about a loved one, or our thoughts are just being overtaken by the father of lies.

No matter if your day is good or bad, God wants them all! He wants to walk with you through it all. He wants you to invite Him into the good, the bad, and the messy.

When life gets tough, it can be so easy to hop on social media and look to this influencer or that influencer and see how they would handle the situation. But that’s the exact opposite of what God’s Word says. He doesn’t want us to imitate man, He wants us to imitate Him. He sent us His Holy Spirit to turn to for help. He wants to walk with us daily to lead and guide us in the ways God has for us.

Every morning, we need to lay down our plans and allow God to show us His plans. Invite Him into the daily schedules, and allow Him to speak through you to someone who may need encouragement. As we practice this daily, we’re modeling this to our children. When we feel defeated, put on a worship song or even sing out what is on your heart and ask God to turn this around. In the good days, when all is going smoothly, give God praises openly, showing our children that no matter the good or the bad, He is always good and worthy of our praises!

Today let’s lay down our negative thoughts, our defeated hearts, our worries about the future, any loads we may be carrying and let’s allow the Holy Spirit in our every area and let’s see how He will turn it around!

Faith Follow-Through:

This week, take some time to grow in motherhood and faith:

Monday:

  • Reflect on this, moms. Allow God into your day and listen to what He has to say.

  • Pray with me: Heavenly Father, We thank You for Your Word. We thank You that You are always wanting and willing to speak to us. Remove the distraction and the noise that seems to be building up around us. Let us hear what You have to say to us and about us. Help us to always focus on You, and allow You into our daily lives. In Jesus name we pray Amen.

Tuesday:

  • Today, let’s make a list of five things God says you are. Invite your children/whole family in on this! And if you’re able, share here in the comments so that we can be an encouragement to each other! (If you need some hints, ask a friend or check out this article: Who God Says You Are)

Wednesday:

  • It’s worship Wednesday! Let’s listen to “Make Room” by Kim Walker Smith, and just lay it all down before God. Make room in your heart for the change He wants to bring. Let’s seek His will and His way for our lives daily!

  • Share one thing you are feeling God is wanting you to lay down. Spend a few extra minutes in prayer today, and listen to what God wants to say to you.

Thursday:

  • As you pray and seek God this morning, ask Him to send someone for you to encourage. Let His word speak through you. Trust Him! It’s not about us, knowing what to say, but allowing His words, for His Glory!
