“At those times when you don’t know what to say, let the Holy Spirit intercede on your behalf and bring the requests of your heart to the throne of God.”

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God’s own will.” Romans 8:26-27 (NLT)
Dear God,
Hey…it’s me again. I feel like I keep saying the same things over and over again. I’m just needing Your peace and comfort right now. I’m struggling. I don’t feel like I’m enough, and I don’t know if I am cut out for this mom thing. I fail every day, Lord. I try so hard to have patience and love…to be like You. I try to show my family how You would act. But I feel like I’m always taking steps backwards instead of forward. I feel like I’m doing more harm than good. I’m tired. I’m weary. I’m struggling to find the words to tell You what I’m thinking or feeling, but nothing comes out right. I know that You know my heart, though. Lord, I need You. I need to feel You and Your peace. I need You to take control and lead me. My heart is heavy, Lord.
Love,
Me
Moms…if you wrote a letter to God, what would it say? What would be on your heart that you would pour out to Him in that letter? Our heart is our most vulnerable place. It shows our anxieties, worries and insecurities. And sometimes it is hard to put into words what those feelings are.
But God knows. Oh, how He knows what is on our hearts. Even in those times when you feel so weary that you can’t find the words to even pray… He knows. At those times when you don’t know what to say, let the Holy Spirit intercede on your behalf and bring the requests of your heart to the throne of God. God will meet you there. He will comfort you and will be there with you, step by step, as you walk through whatever you may be going through.
He will not give up on you. He is kind. He is good. He loves you. He hears you. He is for you.
Whatever is on your heart… He wants to hear it.
